Although first.edition.design offers full turn-key solutions you may from time to time require the need for some technical support. We have listed our top requests. If you need assistance with something other than the information we provided, please email or call.
I just ordered a mobile app and you sent me a link to install on my web site - how is this going to affect my site and what is it for? You said you would do all the work.
We are more than happy to install the link for you, however you will have to supply us with your login and password to the server that your web site is on. Applying the link will take us less then 30 seconds to install. The purpose of the link is called a "redirect". Our apps are so smart that when a user looks for your company via their phone, they will automatically get the mobile app and not your full web site. This will not affect your regular web site in any way. No one will ever see it or know the difference. All app's will contain a link within the app to let the user view your desktop web site if they so chose. We want to give the user the best mobile experience possible.
Directions for installing the "redirect" link - only apply the link to your home page. This normally will be identified as "index.html" or "default.html". While viewing the code for the home page, place the link between the two <head> pieces of code. Save file and upload.
If you have someone who handles your web page for you, they will know exactly where to put the link and it should take them just a few seconds.
How do I set up my email?
That depends on what email browser you are using. Such as - Outlook, Mail, gmail, yahoo, etc.. Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Foxfire , Safari, Chrome, etc are not email browsers. The information that you will need to set up your email is the following:
pop3 - mail.yourdomain.com
smtp - mail.yourdomain.com
user name - your full email address - johndoe@yourdomain.com
password - this was sent to you in your welcome letter - if you need the password reset, please email or call. We do not keep passwords on file - all requests would require us to reset your password.
Can you walk me through the setup process? You can always call us to help walk you though the process. We can even connect to your computer and set it up for you.
I need some schedule changes on my APP or web site - what do I do?
Please use your login and password via your first.edition.design account. This account was set up for you when you became a client of first.editon.design. This account contains your order history, payment information, invoices, etc. The same system also contains our support system. (the SUPPORT icon is listed along top of the account page) Here you can log a support ticket. Please submit all changes through this system. The response will be faster. Normally same day service. Holidays and weekends may take up to 48 hours. You can always email us direct the changes you would like, however all emailed changes can take up to 48-72 hours.
What can I do to get my web site to rank higher in the search engines?
first.edition.design is SEO certified. We offer a variety of programs to fit your needs. All web sites and apps are originally designed with the proper meta tags and coding. We also alt tag your site to allow for more recognition. This is done at no additional charge. However things change from time to time and these things need to be updated to re target your demographic. Give us a call and we will review with you many options to fit your needs.
